Abstract

885,999. Cabinets. EVERTAUT LTD. Aug. 12, 1960 [Aug. 22, 1959], No. 28777/59. Class 52(1) [Also in Group XXV] A slotted, flexible, roll-type closure for a cabinet &c. is formed in two sections 5, 6 which are mechanically interconnected so that movement of one section causes movement of the other section in the opposite direction. The light alloy slats 7 have interlocking, hinged edges and the ends of the slats engage in guide channels 4 welded to the side panels 3 of the metal cabinet, the channels having horizontal extensions at the top and bottom of the cabinet to receive the sections 5, 6 in the open position. A cross bar 14, 15 is secured to the end slat of each section and is connected by plates 24 to brackets 25, 26 which have ends 28 engaged in the channels 4 and which are connected by disconnectible bifurcated rivets 27 to the ring 18a, 18b respectively of and endless band tensioned by a spring 19 and passing over pulleys 20 at top and bottom of each side of the cabinet. The pulleys are mounted on plates 21 screwed to the inturned L-section flanges 2 at the vertical edges of the opening, and forming easily detachable units for repair.
