Abstract

885,695. Silos. QUALTER, HALL & CO. (SALES) Ltd. Aug. 26, 1959 [Oct. 9, 1958; Jan. 15, 1959], Nos. 32326/58 and 1559/59. Class 20(1) In a storage bunker provided with open trunking projecting into it, the trunking is formed by abutments 7 of triangular form in plan. The abutments may be hollow or solid. A spiral shoot 9 is supported in the centre of each bunker by horizontal girders 10 vertically joined by diagonal members 11. In a circular section bunker, Fig. 3, the trunking f leads into a covered conduit h terminating above a discharge mechanism e in a hinged door r. Another outlet d closed by a door p allows the residue to be discharged from the bunker. A coal storage installation comprises four square section bunkers formed by an outer wall 21, Fig. 4, divided by partition walls 22 and having a common truncated pyramidal base terminating in an outlet 24, each of the bunkers having at its innermost corner open trunking 3 formed by abutments 7 on the walls 22.
