Abstract

A multi-storey silo (Fig. 4) (plain view) is made up of two kinds of units, the open ended box unit 2 and the panel 4. These two units are combined as shown by means of bolts 87 to form a multiple hopper of any required dimension. Footing, Fig. 3.-The base of the silo is formed as shown with three sections each having respective discharges 120, 124 through which material descends to channel 106 from which material is discharged mechanically. The footing is adapted to receive the corresponding box sections and panels thereupon to create a set of silos of desired width, breadth and height. As shown at 119 the intersurfaces are stepped to facilitate the erection of the silo unit upon the footing shown.
