[Also in Group XXV] A bonding or other clamp for a cable or pipe comprises a body part 1, with a transverse clamping aperture 2, through which passes a flexible strap 24, for example, of tubular copper braid. A hooked plate 19 at the end of the strap is hooked into a transverse slot 3, after passing over the cable or pipe, a screw clamp 7 acting on a pressure plate 10 to clamp the strap in the aperture 2. A screw 12 bearing on the plate 19 to cause the pivot 23 of the hooked plate to be deflected towards an undercut portion 17, and thus deflects the strap within the slot and applies tension to it.
