Abstract
884,021. Tyre tread studs. WERMEX A.G. Nov. 16, 1959 [Nov. 14, 1958], No. 38752/59. Class 144 (2). An anti-skid stud embedded in a tyre tread comprises a cylindrical metal rod 2 which is sheathed in a rubber sleeve 5 and is held at one end in a blind socket 3 upstanding from a saucer-shaped anchor plate 4, the plate 4 having peripheral teeth 6 to grip the tread material in which it is embedded, and tongues 7 being struck up from the plate 4 to bite into the rubber sheath 5 which extends down to the plate 4 over the socket 3.
