[Also in Group XXIX] A floating cover for a tank (see Group XXIX) comprises nylon fabric coated with a butadieneacrylonitrile or nylon emulsion unaffected by high aromatics. The butadiene-acrylonitrile composition may also comprise conventional additives such as zinc oxide, altax, sulphur, stearic acid, dibutyl phthalate, carbon black and an antioxidant. The composition is applied by friction calendering or as a solution in toluene. Alternatively, the fabric may be coated with a vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropene copolymer.
