Abstract

[Also in Divisions C3 and H5] In example 4 a glass fabric tape is impregnated by being dipped into a bath of toluene containing a dimethylpolysiloxane gum an octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane treated silica, an α, #-dihydroxydimethylpolysiloxane oil, tri-(2-methoxyethoxy) vinylsilane, 2, 4-dichlorobenzoyl peroxide and an α, #-bis-(trimethylsiloxy) dimethylpolysiloxane oil, the impregnated tape is heated and then coated, by calendering, with a mixture of dimethylpolysiloxane gum, acetylene black and cumyl peroxide, and then heated.
