Abstract
883,736. Magnetrons. PATELHOLD PATENTVERWERTUNGS-& ELEKTROHOLDING A.G. Nov. 3, 1959 [Nov. 3, 1958], No. 37253/59. Class 39(1) In an interdigital magnetron with a toroidal cavity resonator 2, Fig. 1a, and two groups of interdigitating anodes 5, 6 connected at their free ends by two rings 3, 4 to increase oscillation stability, each group of anodes and its associated ring is formed in one piece and is joined to the side wall of the resonator at the anode roots 7, e.g. by soldering. The anode roots may be thickened as at 7, Fig. 1b. In Fig. 2a the anode roots are formed by folding the anode strips one or more times, the contact surfaces between individual layers being soldered together either previous to or during the soldering of the anode roots to the resonator wall. The anode roots may be wider in the circumferential direction than the anodes themselves.
