Abstract

674,035. Magnetrons. DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE, DIRECTOR OF THE OFFICE OF TECHNICAL SERVICES OF. Feb. 27, 1948 [March 1, 1946], No. 5983/48. Class 39 (i). In a magnetron of the Rising Sun type the geometric configuration of one half of the cavities differs from the geometric configuration of the remaining cavities, the cavities of one configuration alternating with those of the other configuration and the ratio of the resonant wavelengths of alternate cavities is substantially in the range of 2.5 to 1.3. Preferably, as in Fig. 5, half the cavities are of sector shape and the rest are of the hole-and-slot shape.
