Class 39(3) An electric space heater comprises a tube-like casing 10 closed at one end by a cap 14 and at the other end by a detachable cap 15 to which is secured a grid-like frame, consisting of longitudinal rods 18 and cross rods 19, 19a, which extends into the casing and supports two lengths of woven or knitted textile tape 21 incorporating resistance conductors. Spacing members 22 having supporting tongues 23 hold individually the several runs of the tape intermediate the rods 19a. A terminal plate 20 and a three-heat switch 24 for connection to a supply conductor 17 are also provided. Casing fittings allow the heater to be detachably mounted on a wall. A heat diffuser (Fig. 4, not shown) may be clipped on to the casing, which may be constructed to allow the inflow and outflow of air for convection heating. Specification 794,186 is referred to.
