[Also in Division H5] A manually portable heating appliance for immersion in cattle water-troughs comprises a concrete mass enclosing a metal heat diffuser carrying a. low temperature heating cable with leads extending externally. The heat diffuser is a metal grid 2 with the heating cable 5 sinuously disposed upon it and fastened to it by clips 6. The leads 8 from the cable extend through a plate 9 and sleeve 10, and are then protected by rigid tubes 14 and collars 15 and a flexible tube 16.
