882,179. Capacitors. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. July 8, 1958 [July 26, 1957], No. 21817/58. Class 37. A capacitor having a paper dielectric with a conducting layer of zinc deposited on the paper is characterized in that the conducting layer includes a small amount of aluminium which is present at least on the free surface of the conducting layer. It is stated that by this means the formation of an oxide layer on the zinc, and fringes projecting from the oxide layer (which prevents self-sealing after breakdown of the dielectric) is avoided. The zinc and alumunium may be in the form of an alloy or the aluminium may be deposited as a separate layer on the zinc.
