Abstract

882,046. Liquefied gas forcing apparatus. UNION CARBIDE CORPORATION. Oct. 21, 1959 [Oct. 22, 1958], No. 35608/59. Classes 8(2) and 102(2). Liquid oxygen or nitrogen is forced through a discharge line 30 of an insulated container 12 by pressure exerted by helium gas introduced into the gas space G of the container 12 from an insulated supply vessel 14 within the container 12 and discharging liquid helium through a vaporizing coil 20 connected by a line 22 to the space G ; the coil 20 and line 22 also being in the container. The helium gas discharge line 22 is connected through a pressure equalising valve 28 and a line 26 to the gas space of the supply vessel 14 to effect discharge of liquid helium therefrom.
