Abstract

An aerosol type wax-free polishing composition comprises, by weight, 0,3 to 5 parts of an anti-blotching agent which is lauric isopropanolanide and/or chlorinated polyphenyls, 30 to 50 parts of a solvent for the blotching agent, 30 to 50 parts of a propellant that is gaseous at ordinary room temperatures and pressures, and 0,3 to 5 parts of a liquid polyalkylsiloxane soluble in the solvent. Examples disclose mixtures of dimethylpolysiloxane (350 cs. viscosity at 25 DEG C.), trichloromonofluoromethane and dichlorodifluoromethane, together with (1) lauric isopropanolamide and methylene chloride, or (2) a chlorinated biphenyl containing 68% chlorine. In some cases the solvent may function as the propellant and vice versa. Many solvents are specified.
