880,676. Vehicle body mountings. CLARK EQUIPMENT CO. March 30, 1960 [May 22, 1959], No. 11146/60 Class 408(2). An axle mounting for vehicles comprises a pair of parallel frame members 16, 16, an open trapezoidal portion 62 formed by each frame member opening in a downward direction, an axle 54, and a wheel 50 mounted upon the axle, opposite ends of the axle being formed to mate at 66, 66 with the sides of the trapezoidal portion, such sides forming an included angle of less than 17 degrees and greater than 0 degrees. A pin member 70 may be used to prevent the possibility of the wheel dropping completely out of the frame. The invention is applied to the hand truck, described in Specification 867,265.
