880,670. Vehicle frames. DAIMLERBENZ A.G. Aug. 10, 1960, No. 27728/60. Class 79(4). [Also in Group XXXII] A vehicle frame comprises longitudinal members 1 and 2 and upright members 5 and 7, forming lateral hexagonal members, the "knuckles" of the upright members being at half the vehicle height or at the level of the tops of the tyres and no included angle in the hexagon being less than 90 degrees. Horizontal bearers may connect the roots of the upright pillars and the upper lateral members may form part of an oval roof frame. The lateral members may have hollow or box section, Fig. 2, and the hexagon frames, which need not be planar, may form the base for sliding doors.
