627,198. Road vehicles. CHESTON, A. S., EDMONDS, E. C., CHESTON, B., and OLDHAM, F. A. M. Aug. 19, 1947, No. 22942. [Class 108 (i)] A vehicle body construction comprises a plurality of rectangular, substantially rectangular, or U-shaped glazing frames 1, with the sides 1a of adjacent frames engaging one another and/or secured together to constitute or form part of a pillar member or upright, without any intervening pillar passed between the frames. The construction may also incorporate inverted U-shaped frames 2 which support the outer metal panels, the vertical sides 2a of adjacent frames forming a part of the vertical pillar member. A clamping member 20, 23 is fitted in each aperture formed by the adjacent corners of the frames and the upper ends of the sides 1a may carry a horizontal top rail 9.
