880,465. Cooling cylinders; crank-chambers. MOTORENFABRIK HATZ G.m.b.H. Feb. 18, 1960 [Oct. 30, 1959], No. 5796/60. Class 7(2). Fan blades (not shown) on the periphery of a flywheel 4 draw cooling air through ducts of a cylinder head 1 and cylinder 2 and expel it through channels 3c in a flange 3a by which the engine is mounted, as on a tractor, using studs passing through bores 5 and engaged by nuts locating behind shoulders 3e. The flange 3a may be cast integrally with the crank-case in light metal. External bearings or axle blocks can be secured by flanges to the crank-case 3.
