[Also in Group XXVIII] A compressor plant comprising high and low pressure compressor cylinders 2, 3, and two-stroke I.C. engine driving cylinders 1, arranged in fan or radial formation in a common cylinder block has annular enginescavenging air and cooling air receivers 8, 9 respectively arranged close to and concentrically with one cylinder block side wall. A radial blower 7 unitary with or mounted on a flywheel and a Roots blower 12 supply the receivers 9, 8 respectively. Entry guide vanes 14 to the receiver 9 are provided.
