879,473. Oral douches. REICHEL, O. Jan. 7, 1959, No. 626/59. Class 81 (2). An oral douche comprises two limbs connected to form a U-shaped body and has an H- shaped cross-section formed by two side walls 3, 4 joined by a central part 5, there being ducts 3<SP>1</SP>, 4<SP>1</SP> in the side walls which communicate with a coupling part 1 at the junction of the limbs and through perforations 2 on the inside of the side walls with the exterior of the body. A duct 3<SP>1</SP>, 4<SP>1</SP> is located in each side wall 3, 4 level with a kite-support 5. Holes 2 from each duct are directed into both the upper and lower channels, defined between the side walls and the. central part, at such an angle that issuing jets of liquid are at approximately 45 degrees to the axes of the teeth when the device is used. Liquid e.g. water is fed to the ducts through the coupling part 1. The ducts may intercommunicate through a space in the kite-support which may also have holes for supplying liquid to the channels. The holes may be made in the device as and where required. Medicament may be added at the coupling part to the liquid supplied.
