Abstract

1379429 Breathing mask INDUSTRIE PIRELLI SpA 7 Nov 1972 [16 Nov 1971] 51282/72 Heading A5T A breathing mask formed of elastomeric material comprises an upper chamber (4), Fig. 3, (not shown) having an eyepiece glass 2, separated from a lower chamber (5) by a partition 3 having holes 6, and a duct 10 for connecting the upper chamber (4) to a supply of air integral with the mask and lying outside its field of vision, the upper and lower chamber being moulded to form a single unit. The duct 10 is integral with one side of the mask and connects an opening 13 in the chamber (4) to an opening 12 in a fitting 8' and includes a baffle 14 to direct the, inhaled air towards the eye piece glass 2. Openings 7 and 8 in annular fittings 7' and 8' for the inhalation and exhalation respectively of air, are arranged substantially symmetrically with respect to the vertical mid-plane of the mask.
