878,200. Disc brakes; wheel rims. GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO. Aug. 28, 1959 [Sept. 17, 1958], No. 29464/59. Classes 103 (1) and 144 (2). A brake comprises a housing 2 secured to a flange 7a of a fixed axle 7 carrying wheel 1, and including portions 3, 4 with an axially aligned hole 11 and a cylindrical recess respectively, the recess housing a piston 13 and pad 15 movable toward disc 8 splined to keys 9 on wheel 1, and hole 11 containing a pad 16, 17 held against movement away from the disc by lock ring 18.
