Abstract

878,144. Cycle spring frames; foot rests. ATELIERS DE LA MOTOBECANE. July 14, 1960 [July 15, 1959], No. 24544/60. Class 136(3). A footrest arrangement for cycles having a pivoted fork rear suspension comprises an arm 6 carrying a foot-support 4 at its lower end and having means at its upper end for fastening it to the lower end of the suspended upper, outer tube 1 of the telescopic spring of the suspension. The spring is suspended between an eyepiece 2 on the machine frame and an eyepiece 3 on the rear fork. The arm is attached to the tube by a collar 7. If the tube 1 is obliquely mounted the arm 6 is cranked (Fig. 2 not shown) so that the pin 5, about which the support 4 can be folded vertically upwards, remains horizontal.
