Abstract

877,121. Pit props. EGGEMANN, W., and CAMPENHAUSEN, VON E., [trading as SCHWARZ KOMM.-GES.,HERMANN]. Feb. 26, 1958 [March 19, 1957], No. 6146/58. Class 20(2) [Also in Group XXVIII] A telescopic pit prop having an inner part 11 of circular cross section frictionally held extended by a clamp 16 in an outer part 9 of circular cross - section, comprises guiding slots 27 in the outer part engaged by the ends of a pin 28 in the inner part to prevent the relative rotation of the two parts. The clamp is closed by a wedge claw 19 driven over the ends 17, 18 of the clamp by a wedge 21 passing through holes in these ends. The clamp is welded and connected by straps 14 to the outer prop part 9. The prop is set by wedges 34, 35 adapted to be pushed through holes 30, 31 in the outer prop part and to engage inclined surfaces 32, 33 on the inner prop part.
