Abstract

876,374. Wrenches. PETERS, G. W. July 8, 1959 [April 16, 1958], No. 12062/58. Class 61. A key for rotating tubular bushes and the like comprises a body 4 having an abutment finger 7 to engage against the internal wall of the bush, a cam 3 rotatable in the body and adapted to engage the external wall of the bush and a handle 1 pivoted to the body and coupled to the cam, the arrangement being such that upon movement of the handle angularly with regard to the tubular bush the cam is moved nearer to the abutment finger so as to grip the tubular bush. The handle 1 is bent at right angles to form a shank 2, the free end of the shank being cut away at a diametral plane to leave a semicylindrical cam portion 3. The shank 2 engages in a longitudinal bore in the body 4 ; a radial pin 6 secured in the shank engages in a peripheral slot in the body to limit the pivoting movement. The finger 7 may be stepped to define with the cam a series of gaps of different widths.
