Abstract

876,117. Floors. PAWLOWSKI, W. F. Jan. 23, 1958, No. 2328/58. Class 20(4) An elevated floor comprises sections 24 supported at their corners by standards formed of tubes 12 which have means to engage the sections and connect them together. The tubes 12 are mounted on a base 10 by adjustable flanges used to vary the heights of the standards, the tops of which receive parts 16 of circular fixtures having shoulders 18 which abut the ends of the tubes. The fixture extends upwards to a main portion 20 which has downwardly tapering, intersecting slots 22 on its upper surface. The floor sections 24 are provided on their undersides with angle irons 26 which enter and firmly wedge in the slots 22, the sections 24 abutting. In modifications, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown) the fixture has upstanding frusto-conical projections in its upper surface, which enter recesses in the floor sections. In Figs. 6, 7 (not shown) box frames, each having four openings, are placed on the standards, and panels, fitting over the openings, are located edge-to-edge.
