Abstract

A decorative composition, which may be sprayed with water on to articles to give a snow- or frost-like appearance, comprises a mixture of sulphite pulp (e.g. 40 to 80% by weight of cellulose fibre) and pregelatinised flour or starch as adhesive (e.g. 60 to 20% by weight). A fireproofing agent (e.g. 10 to 30% by weight of total composition) may be added, such as borax with or without an equal weight of calcium phosphate or ammonium chloride, together with colouring material and/or an insecticide.ALSO:A decorating composition, which may be sprayed with water on to articles to give a snow- or frost-like appearance, comprises a mixture of sulphite pulp such as cellulose fibre (e.g. 40 to 80% by weight) and pregelatinised flour or starch as a dry adhesive (e.g. 60 to 20% by weight). A fireproofing agent (e.g. 10 to 30% by weight of the total composition) may be added, such as borax with or without an equal weight of calcium phosphate or ammonium chloride, with colouring material and/or an insecticide.
