Abstract
873,154. Clearing-apparatus for textile drawing rollers. RIETER & CIE A. G., JOH JACOB. Aug. 6, 1958 [Aug. 6, 1957], No. 25211/58. Class 120(2) A drafting device of a textile spinning machine includes feed rollers 4, 7, drafting rollers 2, 3, 6, delivery rollers 1, 5, and suction means for removing fly developed during drafting, the said suction means including a top cover 18 and a bottom cover 12, the said covers 12, 18 plus the rollers 1, 4, 5, 7, forming a suction duct extending parallel to the said rollers. The main withdrawal suction duct 16 is connected to the said ducts covering each drafting field at one end thereof, to cause the air currents (as at 33) to pass along the ducts at right angles to the fibres being drafted. Fly wiping means consisting of plush or sponge rubber cushions 22, 22 <SP>1</SP> engage with the delivery rollers, 1, 5, to remove fly; rotary wiping means 31 (not shown) for throwing the accumulated' fly on the roller 5 into the suction current may also be provided.
