Abstract

872,678. Fuel injection engines. CITROEN S.A., ANDRE. May 15, 1958 [Oct. 10, 1957], No. 15613/58. Class 7(3). An injector 7 in each intake pipe injects fuel continuously directly on to the intake valve 11 so that when the valve opens a stratified charge of rich mixture A, leaner mixture B, and air C is formed in the cylinder, which charge is compressed into a turbulence chamber 3 and ignited by a spark plug 9. The exhaust valve 12 is situated in the chamber 3. Specification 779,978 is referred to.
