Abstract

871,920. Removing metal electrolytically. ROLLS-ROYCE Ltd. Aug. 27, 1958 [Aug. 27, 1957], No. 27038/57. Drawings to Specification. Class 41. Internal-combustion turbine blades, of nickel base alloy, have interior passages in which mild steel is used as a filler during extrusion. The filler is removed by electrolysis. The blade is immersed in nitric acid with a graphite anode enclosed in a porous pot. The graphite and blade are connected respectively to the positive and negative poles of a battery. Specification 833,522 is referred to.
