Abstract

871,631. Alternators; automatic voltage control systems. KABUSHIKI KAISHA MEIDENSHA. May 15, 1959 [May 16, 1958], No. 16704/59. Classes 35 and 38 (4). In a self-excited compound alternator having a field winding 2 supplied via a rectifier set 3 with direct currents which are proportional to the alternator output current and voltage and are respectively produced by a current transformer 6 connected in the alternator output lines and an air gap type reactor 4 connected to the alternator output terminals, there is provided a separate saturable reactor having main windings 9 connected to the rectifier set input terminals and a D.C. exciting winding 9a connected across the alternator output terminals via a voltage detector 7 and another rectifier set 5.
