A rotary flow meter comprises a series of impellers 4 1 , 4 2 , 4 3 , 4 4 mounted on a common shaft 3 journalled in bearings 2 1 , 2 2 , the impellers being separated by fixed guide blades 5 1 , 5 2 , 5 3 extending parallel to the said shaft for fluid flow straightening purposes. One of the impellers is provided with a magnet 7 for cooperation with the solenoid 8 of the indicating apparatus.
