Abstract
1384789 Rotary fluid-flow meters TOKICO Ltd 25 April 1972 [25 May 1971] 19206/72 Heading F1F In a liquid volume-flow-rate meter 10 a plate 19 divides the flow-path between inlet and outlet passages 13, 14 into upper and lower passages 20a, 20b, which contain Roots'-blower-type rotors 23, 24 and 25, 26 disposed out of phase with one another as shown. Shafts 21, 22 fixed to the rotors are supported axially by balls 31, 32 on vertically adjustable bearings 33, 34 and are coupled by gears 40 -- 43 to each other and a register 12. Bearings 27 -- 30 are made of a carbon material. Lubrication of the bearings 33, 34 is effected by leakage liquid collected in a chamber 44. The rotors may be replaced with oval gears, the gears 40, 41 then being omitted.
