Abstract

885,566. Rotary motors. FAURE-HERMAN, J. June 18, 1959 [June 18, 1958], No. 20939/59. Class 110 (2). A rotary meter of the turbine type comprises a turbine rotor 12 mounted within one of two telescopic tubes 3, 4 which are carried by a valve 2 secured to a pipe, the arrangement being such that the position of the turbine may be varied in the pipe. The tube 4 is reciprocated by a rack and pinion device 6, 7 and carries fixed magnets 13 for actuating pointers 14. The tube 4 is also provided with a bulb 16 fixed opposite a photoelectric cell 17 connected by an electronic relay 19 to recording means giving the instantaneous flow and the total flow through the pipe.
