Class 20(3) [Also in Groups XXIV and XXXIV] The casing of an opener, hopper feeder or other textile machine is closed along one side by an arrangement of doors comprising one hinged door A, Fig. 1, and one or more coplanar sliding doors E which can move into the space made by opening the hinged door. Closure of the hinged door serves to lock the sliding doors in their closed positions and may operate a switch S controlling the machine. Alternatively the door A may have a locking handle controlling the circuit of the machine motor. As shown the door A is in two parts, hinged together at D, and is hinged to the casing at B. Each sliding door E is carried by upper rollers K, Fig. 2, running on an upper horizontal grooved track bar F supported by brackets H, and lower rollers Q, Fig. 3, running on a lower horizontal track bar M. Each roller Q is mounted to rotate about a vertical axis in a bracket R which is curved over the bar M to prevent outward movement of the door. When the hinged door A is open the doors E have freedom to slide or may, if desired, be lifted off the track bars F and M. Each door E may have an inspection window T.
