Abstract

868,593. Cleaning windows ; pad cleaning devices. WARNER, A. R. Feb. 13, 1959 [Feb. 13, 1958], No. 4735/58. Classes 19 and 138(1). A device for cleaning both sides of a window comprises two arms 15, 16 which are connected together at one end and have cleaning pads 31, 32 at their other ends, the arm 16, or part of the arm 16, being angularly movable with respect to and spring loaded to bias it towards the other arm 15. The arms may be telescopic and a catch 42, 43 is provided to lock the arm 16 in its disengaged position. The pads 31, 32 may be of sponge rubber and may be mounted on ball and socket joints to allow angular displacement and may also be permitted to rotate slightly. Specifications 376,119, 404,392 and 695,098 are referred to.
