905,117. Cleaning windows; hand tool handles; pad cleaning devices. BLEACKLEY, J. June 28, 1961 [July 22, 1960], No. 25574/60. Classes 19, 61 and 138 (1). The U-shaped handle A, B carrying window cleaning head E, which may be moved 180 degrees about its pivotal connection to the handle, may be extended from the position in which the limbs of the U are equal by disengaging part A from the push fit socket on the end of part B and inserting the other end of part A in the socket. The device may thus be used for cleaning the outside surfaces of casement windows from inside the room and for cleaning downstair windows without the use of a ladder. The cleaning head E comprises a sponge pad covered by a wash leather retained by an elastic band.
