Abstract

866,986. Vulcanizing presses for tyres &c. HERBERT, A., and GUHR, M., [trading as LEONHARD HERBERT MASCHINENFABRIK]. Nov. 18, 1957, No. 35832/57. Class 87(2). In a tyre press having upper and lower mould sections 4, 2, an inflatable member 12 is clamped by members 23, 13 to upper and lower rings 22, 11 which are removable as a unit from the press. The ring 11 is fixed to a bush 10 having projections 14 which normally fit under projections 17 on a sleeve 5, but when the sleeve 5 is rotated by a handle 8, the projections 14 can be aligned with grooves 16 to allow the bush 10 and ring 11 to be removed upwardly from the press. The upper ring 22 is held by a clamp 24. A nut 28 allows the relative movement of the rings 22, 11 to be adjusted.
