907,692. Building tyres. DUNLOP RUBBER CO. Ltd. Dec. 15, 1958 [Jan. 15, 1958], No. 1369/58. Class 144 (1). [Also in Group V] A tyre is moulded by forcing a hot or cold strip of tread rubber 3, against a profiled tread moulding ring 1 by means of an inflatable bag 5, removing the bag 5 and side rings 6, and then forcing a breaker 10, supported on a building drum, against the tread rubber by means of an inflatable bag 9, removing the bag 9, and then finally moulding the tread rubber and breaker on to a tyre carcass by means of an inflatable diaphragm. The breaker may have a soft rubber annulus 11 at each of its edges. Specification 907,693 is referred to.
