Abstract

In the manufacture of a pigmented cementitious composition, the dry ingredients which include cement are mixed to a paste with a water-based emulsion of polyvinyl acetate and colouring matter. The composition includes also saw dust, wood-flour, cork dust, asbestos fibre &c. as a filler, calcium sulphate as a setting accelerator, and calcium carbonate in the form of marble flour. A plasticiser and a waterproofing compound also may be included.
