Abstract

865,606. Brackets; shelves. GJAERDE, P. Dec. 9, 1959 [Dec. 10, 1958], No. 41923/59. Classes 52(1) and 52(5). In a cantilever bracket having a pair of vertically-spaced mounting hooks at its inner end and a vertical supporting plate 1, a rail has a vertical flange 5 welded to plate 1, a horizontal flange 4 supporting a wooden shelf 10 and a vertical 6 spaced from plate 1 to form a slot receiving flange 14 of a metal shelf 13. The edge of the wooden shelf has a groove receiving the flange 4 which has bayonet slots 9, screws 12 spanning the groove and taking into slots 9 to hold the shelf in place.
