865,475. Packages. HERMORION Ltd. Jan. 21, 1959 [Jan. 31, 1958], No. 2242/59. Class 94(1). A package having a sealing fin has a tear string 6, the ends of which are sealed in the fin 5. The string may be treated to prevent wicking of the contents along it, should it protrude externally of the seal. A slit 9 may be provided enabling the corner in which the string is held to be torn off and pulled with the string to open the seal or tear a package wall. The seam may be rendered sufficiently weak to give way rather than a wall be torn. Specification 865,476 is referred to.
