865,362. Photographic printing and developing apparatus. RICORD, J. June 12, 1959 [June 12, 1958], No. 18848/58. Class 98(2) Copy material is fed sheet by sheet to a continuously rotating printing cylinder having an original secured thereon by a transparent covering and the material is subsequently conveyed between continuously rotating developer applicator rollers and may finally be heated until dry. As shown, transparent printing cylinder 23 is surrounded by a removable assembly of rollers carrying endless belts 40 tensioned by resiliently urged arms 48. Sheets of copy material are fed individually from a tray by rollers which are reciprocated by a projection on the rim of cylinder 23 (Figs. 1 and 2, not shown). The sheets are conveyed to developer applicator rollers 11 having a doctor roller 55 to which developer liquid is supplied from a continuously pumped supply system (Fig. 4, not shown). Excess developer drains into trough 70. A transparent celluloid wrapper having its ends attached to the cylinder retains the original in position while a counter records the number of copies which have been taken. Lamp 24 is cooled by a fan. Known means are provided for varying the speed of the electric drive motor.
