795,087. Continuous photoprinting apnaratus. ZINDLER, W.. [trading as LUMOPRINT ZINDLER KOMM.-GES.]. May 22, 1956 [May 20, 1955; Aug. 31, 1955], No. 15803/56. Class 98(1) For optical printing from flat originals such as letters or journals up to 1 cm. thick but not bound volumes, the originals and film or photocopy paper are inserted back to back through a common feed slot shown at the left of Fig. 2 to be diverted, the former through a slot 30 for propulsion by roller 27 past exposure slot 1 in plate 17 to exit 32, and the latter through slot 31 for propulsion by roller 26 past image slot 2 in plate 18 to exit 33; and rod-like lamps 28, 29 cause reflection of the image from slot 1 around mirrors 19, 20, 21, 22 and through objective 23 to slot 2, the rollers being driven by gears 24 from motor 25 at proportional speeds, as shown to result in reduced-size image. In Fig. 3 (not shown) a generally corresponding arrangement involves use of two mirrors only instead of the four of Fig. 1.
