Abstract

862,887. Fittings on vehicles for loading and unloading. PANES, F. E. Sept. 16, 1959, No. 31532/59. Class 78 (4). Extensions 16 (Fig. 1) of rails 11 for a hoist 13 on a vehicle are removably secured to the vehicle by brackets 18 which engage the vehicle by a sliding motion. As shown in plan in Fig. 4, each rail 16 is secured to a channel 18 which takes over a T-section member 23. The rails 16 are braced to the channels 18 by members 19, 20 (Fig. 1), and braces 24 support the members 23. The rails 11, 16 are preferably of inverted-V section. Retractable legs 25 may support the tail of the vehicle.
