Abstract
929,115. Sliding bolts. FLEXI-VAN Inc. Jan. 1, 1962 [Jan. 10, 1961], No. 25/62. Class 44. [Also in Groups XXX, XXXI and XXXII] A kingpin 58 (Fig. 8) depending from one end of a freight container can be locked between guide surfaces 56, to secure it to a rail vehicle, by a fork 62 slid longitudinally under the control of handles 68 which can be secured by latches. The rear of the container can be locked by spring-biased bolts 82 (Fig. 11) to rails 24 by which the container is supported. The bolts 82 are automatically released, when the container is swung about a vertical axis adjacent its rear end, by bellcranks 166 operated through push-rods 162 from a fixed cam 160 adjacent the vertical axis.
