Abstract
860,996. Shaft linings. GUTEHOFFNUNGSHUTTE STERKRADE A.G. July 25, 1957 [July 25, 1956], No. 23663/57. Class 85. [Also in Group XXX] The inner surface of the lining of the shaft of a mine hoist or lift cage lies on a cylindrical datum surface along two opposite sides of the shaft, but extends inwardly from that surface along the other pair of opposite sides so as to form parts 1<SP>1</SP> on which the guide rails for the skip or cage are mounted. Recesses 10, 11 in the parts 1<SP>1</SP> accommodate a pipe line and a ladder, respectively. The steel casings 1, 2 of the lining are assembled from annular parts welded end-to-end, each annular part of the casing 1 comprising four parts welded together at 13. The recesses 10, 11 may be arch-shape in plan as shown at 14. Instead of the casing 2 being cylindrical, it may be shaped in the same way as the casing 1.
