A segment for a ring of a tunnel lining comprises a curved, corrugated steel plate b, steel end plates c welded to the plate b, and curved structural steel sections a welded to the plate b. The plates c and the sections a have bolt holes d for attachment of adjacent segments. Jacks for a shield (not shown), having a conveyer react against a ring of segments.
