Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of the formula <FORM:0859735/IV(b)/1> where R1 and R2 are the same or different alkyl groups, X, X1 and X2 are oxygen or sulphur, R3-R10 are hydrogen, halogen or alkyl groups, the same or different, and n is an integer; and their preparation by (1) reacting <FORM:0859735/IV(b)/2> where Z is an alkali metal or hydrogen, and Y is a halogen; and (ii) reacting <FORM:0859735/IV(b)/3> where Z is a halogen and Y is an alkali metal or hydrogen. Solvents and bases are preferably present in each case. According to the Provisional Specification only R1 and R2 may be hydrogen. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 814,587.ALSO:Insecticidal compositions containing as active ingredient a compound of the formula: <FORM:0859735/VI/1> where R1 and R2 are the same or different alkyl groups, X, X1, and X2 are oxygen or sulphur, R3-R10 are hydrogen, halogen or alkyl groups, the same or different, and n is an integer. The compositions may contain diluents, solvents, wetting agents, stickers and other conventional components, as well as other insecticidally active compounds. The compositions may be prepared in wettable powder or miscible oil formulations suitable for dilution with water; examples use aqueous solutions. According to the Provisional Specifications only, R1 and R2 may be h hydrogen. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 814,587.
