A bathtub attachment for carrying a seat or platform comprises a U-shaped member 1 having arms 4, with sleeves 6a, 6b resting along the top of the longitudinal bathtub walls and integrally joined to two parallel rods 11 at a different level by their bent-up end portions 3, the distance between the rods 11 being smaller than between the arms 4. The rods 11 hold between them battens 8 of a slatted seat. The device when inverted can be used as a support for a portable washtub (or a bathtub for infants) inserted between the rods 11 or as a footstool, and when supported by the arms and legs it is usable as a higher stool.
